Rabea Benhalim is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado
Law School who focuses her research on comparative Jewish and Islamic law in the modern era. Professor Benhalim will be reflecting on her insights as a Muslim scholar who studies Halakha. Her research focuses on how religious minorities navigate religious law within secular

of Jewish and Muslim legal scholars on each other; how religious law
maintains relevancy within changed circumstances; and the impact on
law of religious people living as a minority or majority population.
