Tips and Laws for Preparing for Passover 5770 2010
Anyone intending to sell their Hametz (mekhirat hametz) must have sold it by the time mentioned above and if you are selling it through Congregation Bonai Shalom, you must return the form to the office by Friday, March 26th.

It is the custom the night before Pesach, to hide and find 10 pieces of hametz, searching with a candle. This search can be a fun family ritual, as well as a deep spiritual preparation before the Festival begins. After all the pieces are found, the blessing over bedikat hametz is recited and kol hamira, which annuls any hametz still in our possession. These can be found at the beginning of most Haggadot.
