SISTERHOOD OF CONGREGATION BONAI SHALOM

The Sisterhood of Congregation Bonai Shalom is a vital, growing group of women, dedicated to forming warm bonds with new and old friends, while working together for the benefit of Congregation Bonai Shalom. Our fund raising efforts support our Religious School, and help pay the costs of our renovated CBS kitchen.

The Sisterhood was founded in 2004, with a membership of 18.  Today we have a membership of over 100 women.  We organize special Shabbat Kiddush Luncheons, and raise funds in honor of loved congregants. We enjoy a warmth and camaraderie, be it working and laughing together in the kitchen of Bonai, helping out at the synagogue, or working on projects in each other's homes.  Recently, we've viewed a movie of Jewish content, analyzed by noted commentator, Kathryn Bernheimer, shared a book reviewed by Froma Fallik, learned to play Mah Jongg and shared other games.

All women congregants are invited to join Sisterhood.  Dues are $18.00 per fiscal year (July 1, through June 30).  New members of CBS are invited to join Sisterhood, dues free for their first year.  Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month.  This year we ae trying to hold evening meetings in the less snowy months and afternoon meetings during the snowier months. Afternoon meetings usually include a tasty, light lunch; evening meetings include coffee and sweets.  Come enjoy the friendship and lively conversation we share in this smaller community within the larger Bonai community.
