Mishloach Manot—Sending food gifts to friends and family—is one of the four Mitzvot performed on Purim. It is a heartfelt way to emphasize the Jewish unity that lies at the core of the Purim holiday... and to create meaningful connections within our own community at the same time. Through this project, you can participate in the sending of a beautiful gift package to your friends and family.
CBS is working with Boulders Best Organics to provide beautiful mishloach manot packages (filled with locally produced, kosher, mostly organic, all-yummy treats) efficiently, securely and conveniently organized through the website www.HappyPurim.com.
Here’s how it works:
Senders: For just $4.00 per recipient, you can participate in the sending of a Purim gift package to anyone on our membership list. Every family on the list will receive one (1) gift package, along with a Purim card that lists all the people who participated in their package.
By making a generous donation of $360.00 you can send a Purim package to the entire list if you prefer!
Reciprocate: You also have the opportunity to reciprocate. If you select this option, anyone selecting your name, whom you did not check on your list, will be added to your order at an additional charge of $4.00 each.
You can also select to donate your package to a local charity instead of receiving it yourself.
Options:
1) This year we are also collecting Matanot L'evyonim, charitable contributions, that will be distributed to those in need by way of Community Table and the AJWS Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund.
2) We are also offering the opportunity for you to purchase additional Purim gift boxes for your own needs at $25 each.
3) Finally you will also have the option to purchase extra kosher hamantashen for the low cost of $8.00 per dozen.
