During the month of Elul, we spend our time reflecting on the past year. Each day during this month (except for on Shabbat!), we blow the shofar. The soul-stirring blasts reinvigorate our individual commitment to Cheshbon HaNefesh - taking account of our souls, as we prepare for the High Holidays.
