Community and Sustainability

We are a vibrant and talented community of individuals that are dedicated to supporting one another and the community as a whole.  Congregation Bonai Shalom is a diverse, multi-generational congregation. We have, as our foundation, a warm, accepting and participating membership. We are an inclusive congregation.  We welcome and strive to accommodate people of all abilities, and encourage all members of our community to participate.

The Bonai Shalom Green Team supports and celebrates a culture of sustainability at Bonai Shalom. We work towards making the “green” decision the default choice culturally and institutionally in all aspects of synagogue life:

  • Jewish education for all ages
  • Holiday celebrations
  • Food
  • Facility and Infrastructure
  • New building

Sustainability is one of Congregation Bonai Shalom's core values. We are committed to green initiatives and tikkun olam.

  • Bonai Shalom is a member of the Jewish Climate Leadership Coalition
  • Bonai Shalom composts hyperlocally, sending our wasted food and kitchen scraps across the street to Boulder JCC's Milk and Honey Farm
