Bonai Shalom is excited to present an evening with the author Joan Leegant whose latest book, DISPLACED PERSONS, has garnered rave reviews and a slew of Jewish book prizes, including being a finalist for the 2025 National Jewish Book Award.

A collection of stories, half set in Israel, half in the United States, DISPLACED PERSONS has been called “prophetic” by the Times of Israel and a set of “deliciously complex stories that explore exile, belonging, parenthood and marriage with a sharp sense of humor and emotional wallop” by the Chicago Review of Books.
