Joint Statement from Boulder’s Jewish Community
Our hearts remain with the victims of Sunday’s horrifying attack. We are holding them and their families close in our thoughts and prayers, and we wish them all a full and swift recovery. These individuals, cherished members of our community, regularly gather with us in peace and purpose.
In times like these, one of the most meaningful things we can do is come together. Our community has always shown up for one another, through both celebration and sorrow, and this moment is no exception. In the face of tragedy, we find strength in connection.
These are the times that call on us to be present, to meet one another with compassion, and to begin healing together. This spirit of resilience, unity, and shared joy is what makes our community so special. Even in pain, we remain grounded in the strength we find in one another. A community resource page has been created with support options and event details below. This page will be continually updated as more information becomes available.
We invite you to gather in solidarity and healing at these upcoming events:

Boulder Jewish Festival
Sunday, June 8, 2025
11 am - 3 pm
Pearl Street Mall, between 13th and 14th, Boulder
Join us for a thoughtfully reimagined version of the 30th anniversary of the Boulder Jewish Festival this coming Sunday. Our program and planned experiences will bring us together as a community at a time when nothing could be more important. Run For Their Lives will be centered on bringing increased awareness to the hostages still held in Gaza, while making space to recognize the survivors of Sunday's attack. We recognize that each one of us holds a range of emotions — from fear to pride, from anger to the joy of being part of the Boulder Jewish community. With this festival, we hope to provide the space and opportunity for all to show up authentically.
At these events and around our shared spaces, enhanced security protocols will be implemented. These are precautionary measures and not based on any known threat. We continue to work closely with the Boulder Police Department and JEWISHcolorado’s Secure Community Network to ensure the safety of our community.
We are deeply grateful that the victims are receiving meaningful support from law enforcement—each has been assigned both a Victim Advocate and a Public Information Officer. In addition, JEWISHcolorado has established the Boulder Security Fund to provide direct assistance to the victims and to help strengthen security efforts across our community.
We also recognize that many in our broader community are in need of care and support. We are thankful to those who have stepped forward to help.
