Join Us Sunday for the Next Film in Our Three Weeks Series

The spiritual preparation for the High Holy Days starts now, in the month of Tammuz.

Each film  in the series highlights a different facet of struggle facing Jews in today’s world, offering us the chance to grieve, to witness, and to search for hope through shared conversation.

Join us this Sunday, July 27th at 4pm at Bonai Shalom for the third film in our series, "Legend of Destruction," an interpretation of Talmudic stories of the destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple by filmmaker Gidi Dar, director of "Ushpizin."  Small group discussion to follow.

The Three Weeks—from the 17th of Tammuz (July 13, 2025) to the 9th of Av (August 3, 2025)—invite us to reflect on what is broken in our world and in ourselves. By making space to face this brokenness without turning away, we open the door to entering Elul and the High Holy Days with greater depth, honesty, and heart.

This season asks us to descend into discomfort and darkness so that we can rise renewed, stepping into the light of real personal and collective change. Our program will also include some study about the Three Weeks and the opportunity to engage in small group reflection.
