Cultivating Emunah—What It Means to Show Up
Presented by SooJi Min-Maranda, Executive Director of ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal
The middah (a Jewish value or virtue derived from Jewish texts) of emunah or trustworthiness is the mortar that cements relationships. What does it mean to fully trust oneself? What does it mean to fully trust others? How can we be a “living amen” for one another?
SooJi Min-Maranda is the executive director of ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal. A national nonprofit, ALEPH brings spiritual vitality and passion into the daily lives of Jews through programs that empower leadership, build communities, and generate powerful experiences and practical resources. She has been a nonprofit executive for the past 18 years, with leadership positions in the Jewish community, human services, and health care policy and advocacy. A graduate of Barnard College, Min-Maranda holds master’s degrees from Northwestern University and The University of Chicago.
