Tractate Berachot is the very first section of the Mishna (a compendium of ancient rabbinic commentary.) Brachot discusses all kinds of legal, spiritual and philosophical questions about prayer and blessings. In this intro class, we will put the Mishna into its context and study some of the most famous teachings from the tractate together, with the possibility of continuing to study these texts on a regular basis if there is interest.
