9:30 AM - 10:45 AMShabbat Shuva Service and Reflection - Alternative Service for the Morning of Shabbat Shuva - Led by Ed Kass
The Shabbat between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur is called Shabbat Shuva (return), named after the Haftorah reading of Hosea 14:2-10 that begins “Return O’ Israel to the Lord, your G-d. We will begin with the prayers from the Birchat Hashachar followed by the Barchu through the Sh’ma and V’ahavtah.
Next, we will reflect on teshuvah through teachings and poetry before a silent Amidah. We will conclude with a healing prayer. We will end the service in time to hear Rabbi Marc’s D'var Torah.
The service will take place in Rabbi Marc's basement.
