Please join Congregation Bonai Shalom and JFS Jewish Disabilities Advocates for the February 1st Kick Off Event for Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance and Inclusion Month (JDAIM) at 6:30pm on Zoom. Rabbi Lauren Tuchman, the first blind woman to enter the rabbinate, will speak about the isolation and loneliness individuals with disabilities often experience and the need for connection. Rabbi Julia Appel of CLAL will share research and lessons on designing events, programs and even organizations for connection and belonging. Following the presentations, members of Bonai will have the opportunity to participate in our own breakout room where we can begin implementation of a belonging activity.
