Response to Racism

Congregation Bonai Shalom stands against racism. The Torah teaches that all humanity is created in the Divine image and protecting human dignity is above all else. Tzedek, Tzedek Tirdof - justice, justice you shall pursue - demands that we pursue justice wherever we can.

As a community, we listen. We use our voices to amplify those of others. We commit to opening our hearts and minds to new ways of seeing the world and commit to taking action.

We stand in solidarity with the Black community, Jews of Color, and all communities of color, in righting generations-long wrongs. We collectively strive to stamp out racism and prejudice in all of its forms from our society.
