Stress, Anxiety, and the High Holidays (Elul Class)
Wednesday, September 2, 2020 • 13 Elul 5780
5:00 PM - 6:30 PMZoonWith Elul around the corner, we know that this High Holiday season will be unlike any other. The stress and anxiety of our current moment is palpable, and we are experiencing it on mental, emotional, and physical levels. Stress and anxiety are oftentimes thought of as mental and emotional states, but our experience of them is deeply rooted in our bodies. Join the BaMidbar Wilderness Therapy team to learn about the connections between stress, anxiety, self-regulating actions, and Jewish ritual and practice. Through an interactive, 90-minute Zoom program, we’ll build an understanding of stress, anxiety and its impact on the body, and explore various Jewish traditions that can help regulate our stress response. Participants will create individualized road maps for the High Holiday season that use Jewish rituals to promote resilience and encourage whole-health wellness.
