How do communities pass down important moral and ethical lessons from generation to generation? The Jewish community has written Midrashim collected over thousands of years. The African American community has hundreds of years of oral traditions, affectionately called “old wives tales”. Join Stacey Aviva Flint for an exploration of several midrashim and “wives tales” with shared messages and learn how African American Jews often look to both traditions to seek clarity on issues of race, ethics, justice, and sharing community.
