5:00 PM - 2:00 AM Next DayBonai ShalomThis dusk-to-dawn Shavuot celebration entitled “Jewish Unity and Disunity” features classes taught by lay leaders, rabbis, and cantors that include movement, art, music, and scholarship. The 50-minute sessions draw on sacred and modern texts, and yes, they will address moving forward after October 7th.
This free event kicks off with a picnic on Sunday, June 1st at 5pm. Bring a meal for your family to eat, and BYO plates and utensils as there will be a limited number of compostable dishes available.
It features a plenary panel, multiple learning sessions, and opportunities for social engagement. Plus, cheesecake! Come for a single session or attend the whole evening. The event is free to the public but please register so we know how much cheesecake to make.
